We're gearing up for a brand new Campaign of Empire Control, our forum-based Legion vs Legion event, and hoping to start a new one early next week.
Whatever server you play on, let us know if you and your Legion are interested by submitting the following:

We'll take a look at the responses over the next few days, and use this feedback to decide what servers to run the event on.
For more info on Empire Control itself, please see below. Keep in mind that some of these rules are subject to change, but this will give you a good idea of how things work:


1) What is Empire Control, and how do I play?

Empire Control allows Legions (and some non-Legion players, grouped into an Alliance) to stake their claim on territory. Over the course of rounds, Legions can engage others on the battlefield to take their territory and expand their reach. The winner is the Legion or Alliance with the most territory at the end of the game, or those who claim all territory.

The map is split into 4 sections, representing the Wu, Shu, Wei, and Rome empires. Each empire has 1 camp, 2 towns, and 3 cities. A shared Capital City sits at the center of the Empire Map.
  
  
Rules

-  Each Legion will be assigned a Town or City.
  
-  Groups of non-Legion players, called an Alliance, will be assigned to a Camp.

-  All Legions and Alliances are pitted against one another, regardless of starting position/empire.
  
-  Battle Points (BP) are required to attack and defend – 2 BP to attack, 1 BP to defend.
  
-  Controlling 1 city/town provides 3 BP
  
-  Controlling 2 cities/towns does not increase BP (remains at 3)
  
-  Controlling 3 cities/towns provides 6 BP
  
-  Controlling 4 cities/towns does not increase BP (remains at 6)  

-  Controlling 5 cities/towns provides 9 BP. This is the cap.
  
-  Controlling more than 5 cities will not increase BP, however it is possible to boost this by 3 BP through control of the Capital City – meaning a Max of 12 is possible (5 cities/towns PLUS Capital City)
  
  
  
Camps

-  Camps are for groups of non-Legion players.
  
-  A camp also grants 3 BP, however camps cannot be attacked.
  
-  Once a camp successfully attacks a town, they lose their camp and begin following the normal rules.
  
  
  
Capital City

-  The Capital City requires 5 BP to attack, 3 BP to defend.
  
-  Controlling the Capital City will boost your current BP value by 3.
  
  
  
Attacking and Defending

-  Each town/city can be attacked once per round.
  
-  A town/city can only attack another town/city that it is connected to by road.
  
-  Camps cannot be attacked.
  
-  If two forces decide to attack the same town/city, those who posted first win the right to attack.
  
-  2BP is used to attack, and if the other side uses 1BP to defend it will necessitate a battle in-game.
  
-  Unused BP will automatically be used to defend a town/city, resulting in an in-game battle. Unless specified by a Legion, the priority for auto defense is Capital > City > Town. If all BP was already used in that round, the town/city will be immediately lost.
  
-  When attacking the Capital City, 5 BP are required. However, the attacking army is encouraged to bid more of their BP – if another army wants to also attack the Capital City, and they bid more BP, they will claim the right to attack. If both sides bid evenly, both attacks are negated.

How to play?


-       The game consists of Rounds, with a new round starting every 2 days. Sunday is a day of peace, meaning a game pause. So each week will have 3 rounds.

-       Day 1 of each round is the move phase. A designated Legion/Alliance representative will post their desired moves (based on their available BP) between 15:00 and 23:00 (BST, NA times will vary slightly). The submitted move list should take this format:

-      Only one post will be accepted, and it cannot be edited. Multiple or edited posts will be disregarded. Posts before or after the open times will not be accepted. Submit one post between 15:00 and 23:00 (BST, NA times will vary slightly).

-      Each Legion must post their desired moves/actions. If they simply wish to defend (and make no attacking moves) they still need to post.

-      We will then record all moves and battles to be fought, posting this to the forum as early as possible the following morning (day 2).

-      On day 2, Legions will meet in Tiger Knight to engage in 6v6 battles. Battles must take place before 23:00 (BST, NA times will vary slightly).

-      Defending legions must reply to the Move List post with at least 2 times where it is suitable to meet for a 6v6 battle. These times must be at least 2 hours apart, and before 23:00 (BST, NA times will vary slightly) on battle day. The format will look like the following:

Battle: Iberos vs LegionRomanae
Available Times: 19:00   -or-   21:00

-       The attacking team must then reply to that post choosing one of the preferred times. The defenders set up a room, and if the attackers fail to show up we will need a screenshot to confirm. Defenders who fail to post at least 2 suitable times will forfeit their town/city. Attackers who fail to choose a time or show up to battle will lose their move.

-      The battle, map, and troop level depends on the town/city being attacked (see above guide).

-      Both sides will choose whatever members they want to represent them, and troops can be chosen from any faction.  

-      The winners then post a screenshot of the victory/results screen, clearly stating what battle was fought. We will update the map as early as possible the following morning.

-      The next day will start the cycle over, with fresh moves being posted on the forum.

-      As the game progresses, it may become necessary to extend the battle phase by one day.


As for rewards, we’ve had a rethink regarding the best way to calculate and deliver these. This is what we’ve come up with:

1)        Weekly Reward: All participating Legion members will receive 50,000 Copper each week.

2)        Final Reward: All surviving Legions submit a 10 player list, with each receiving
                 - Barrack Expansion
                 - 7 Day VIP Card
                 - Prestige based on Legion Final Score. Captured territory grants points (1 point = 2000 Prestige. Town = 1, City = 2, Empire = 5, Capital = 5), and at the end of each week we will note the weekly score. These will be combined at the end of the Campaign for the Legion Final Score.

3)        Empire Control Champion Reward: The winning Legion (based on Legion Final Score) using the same 10 player list as above, with each receiving:
                 Token Pack x1
                 Unique Empire Control Champion Cloak (30 days duration).
